The Church? Congregations?

http://actualidadyanalisis.blogspot.com
Why is it that every congregation is trying to take the credit of being the church?  Baptist Church, Lutheran Church, and Presbyterian Church are examples of this.  Then you also have the individual congregation's names, but I wont single out any.  Why is it that we call each of these congregations as a church?  I think that this is a mistake that dulls down the raw meaning that the church has.  We need to start respecting the LORD's vision of the church.  Should we not change the word for our individual groups that meet at different buildings to congregation?  It just seems that each congregation is steeling the holy word of the church and lifting only their own club up as the true church.  When we inquire about where another believer worships at we ask what church do you worship at?  This just proves my point.  There is only one church that the LORD spoke about.  The only other place in scripture that comes close to saying there is more than one church is were John wrote to the different locations of the church.  At the beginning of Revelation, John wrote to different towns and address each individual body of believers.  For example John wrote to the Church in Ephesus, in Smyrna, in Pergamum, in Thyatira, in Sardis, in Philadelphia, and in Laodicea.  As you can see, John does not speak of different churches.  He speaks of one church that dwells in different locations.  Could I be correct in my thinking that the distorted naming of the church causes more division where the LORD would like unity?  I think we need to start a movement of taking the word church out of every congregation's name.

Food Truth!

the-whole-food-plant-based-diet-and-you/
I just watched the documentary, "Forks Over Knives," and it was the best truth and proven evidence about food I have ever seen.  The United States and our education on nutrition is so controlled by the USDA.  Even the nutrition, and dietitian programs of today are affected by the false information and guidance from the USDA.  This documentary is a "must see" for all.  Truth about food and health in the present day through out the world must spread and be shared.  Going into this field of nutrition, I am so excited and feel blessed to learn from such wise doctors that did real research, and truly care about the rest of the worlds health.  I will take this learning experience into my practice, and form my philosophy of heath and nutrition around such studies and experiments that clearly prove healing results.  To learn more about what this documentary says about food and health, visit www.forksoverknives.com.

Running Shoes

Running shoes at Fleet Feet in Syracuse. www.syracus.com
I was thinking today how marriage is like a relationship between a runner and his good trusty shoes.  The start is like any good relationship and you must go shopping.  You try out each pair of shoes you find that might be a good fit.  You even get advice from the people around.  It might be the help of a professional, and shoes often are selected for you blindly.   Through much searching and, or even being fitted by an expert company, related to e-harmony, you make a life time commitment of 500 miles with the perfect pair that opens your heart and expresses exactly who you are in wight, color, design, and company name.  But of course the feel is the most important part.  In the end, a pair of shoes that aligns a runner's  body in the correct posture while he runs is the healthiest pair of shoes for him.  Some runner's get blessed and the pair of shoes that is the best fit for them also appeals to their attraction, but others do not get so lucky.  For they are stuck with the situation where the pair of shoes that is the healthiest for them, does not appeal to their attraction.  They are stuck with a decision.   Do they chose the shoes that are the best fit, or the shoes that they are the most attractive to?  We all know that health is the best choice, and looks fad anyway.  After a life of 500 miles experiencing 5ks, marathons, rain, snow, mud puddles, trails, and/or roads the looks of the shoes are not of value, and the runner really takes delight in the way the shoes had their back and was an excellent helper on the rough journey.  This is of course if the shoes were indeed the right fit, and the correct choice was made.    The runner looks down at his pair and thanks them for their dedication, and the life shared in their relationship.

Uncle Steve's Voice Message

This is a random message that I received from my Uncle Steve one afternoon.  It really does mean a lot to me because I know that my uncle was thinking of me.  Ha.

NEEDS?

I am mowing lawns for the city of Norton Shores this summer with my father.  I am either on the mower or walking tree to tree, sign to sign, weed wacking.  I have pleanty of time to think on this job.  Different ideas and thoughts will run through my head.  A lot of the time I think about what I want to do with my future.  I have a crazy idea to tripple major, which arose with this time on the mower.  I will also have crazy revelations, or new ideas that cross my mind, that I love to ponder on.  I will share one in the following:

What are essentials?  What are needs?  Can you name a few?  I think that the common answer would be food, water, clothes and shelter.  The question that stirs in me is:  Are these really needs?  I believe, and have come to find, that these essentials are not needs without the underline for what?  To better explain myself, if you are speaking of the basic needs of food, water, clothes, and shelter as needs for life, then yes these are very much so essentials.  My question is what is wrong with dying?  Without the underline for life, these examples are not needs at all.  Without any underline for what, there are not any needs at all.

As my mind was processing this information, it brought this thought a step further.  What about people with health diseases?  Take obesity for example.  If life is your underline for what, then there are now more needs to be listed.  Obesity is one of the leading causes of death in America.  To a victum of this disease there are now the needs of food, water, clothes, and shelter, but I would like to add the need of not eating.  It is a proven fact that fasting is a very healthy practice.  This practice gives your body a day of rest.  An organ like your liver, that normally works on over drive to get ride of all the toxins in our body, can have a day of rest.  Ok, so when you fast your liver does not stop working because there are still a lot of toxins stored in our bodies from the lovely quality of food our world can destroy by packaging and proccessing.  However, it is a very healthy practice.

If you take this thought to heart then, to an obesity victum, not eating is on the very same page of a need as eating is, for life.

Just think about it.

How do you know?

Guys,

If you are ever in your life asking the question, "How do I know if she is for me?"  I have one question for you.  Does her heart speak out these words?
